You can get an Explorer in eithere 2 wheel drive or 4 wheel drive. There are quite a few trim levels to choose from depending on your tastes and budget. Two powertrain combinations are available: a 210-hp 4.0-liter V6 engine mated to a five-speed automatic transmission is standard on all trims, while a 292-hp 4.6-liter V8 engine paired with a six-speed automatic transmission is optional on the Eddie Bauer and Limited. Explorer XLT trims are well-equipped with 16-inch alloy wheels, air conditioning, cruise control and MP3 capability; If you choose the Eddie Bauer, you get tons of extras like heated front seats, Satellite radio and blue-tooth for your phone and othere electronic items.
For 2010, the Ford Explorer carries over with minor adjustments to standard equipment and a restructured ordering strategy. The companies have also learned to live within their means. The result, leaner and meaner companies that produce quality products that people want to buy. That is good news for the car makers and even better news for America.
